  6. HTTP Server Name
  7. Enter the DNS (Domain Name System) name of your server, such as ΓÇ£www.foo.eduΓÇ¥. The root URL of your server will be shown in the example below the entry field. If you have not already set a DNS name, enter the IP number of your server (such as "192.188.119.14").

  9. The DNS is a database system for linking IP numbers with a more human-readable naming scheme. You may need to talk with your site administrator about naming your server in the local DNS.

  11. Port
  12. The MacHTTP server software defaults to port 80. Unless you have made explicit changes (or don't know what this means), leave this blank.

  14. HTTP Server Folder
  15. Use the Set button to locate your HTTP server application. The path to the server is automatically entered into the field at right. This is used to determine whether a document path is within the server folder when building URLs.

  17. Show and Use Full PathName
  18. When checked, uses the full pathname to the document when exporting. When unchecked, exports the document to the currently default folder. See Export for more information.

  20. Use Full Path in Index
  21. This button is also located on the Index card. When checked, displays the full pathname of each document in the document index. When unchecked, displays only the document name.

  23. Back to Preferences, on to Import/Export Preferences, or return to HTML.edit Features.
